This trip have been awesome. Everything has been fantastic and I've loved it all. My best memory from this trip was my visit on Hobbiton. I loved it! New Zealand is a beautful country and it's so different compared to Sweden. You start school when you're 5 and you can drop out of school when you're 15-16 if your school and your parents think it's OK. In New Zealand they use school uniforms and teenagers are more independent than teenagres in Sweden. The weather is better and people are outside more than in Sweden.
New Zealands climate is very different over the country. It can be hot and sunny and also very cold. It's a little like our Swedish weather, except we don't have desserts and rain forests. It have been so different to be here, but at the same time I've felt like home because I like it here and it's a super cute country.
Now I'm going home to Sweden and my family again and I hope I'll be coming back here some day!

Today I was at Hobbiton, where they recorded the movies. It was really cool to see all the small houses and the nature around them. It felt like I was in the movie when I was there. The guide that showed us everything, made me feel like everything was real and everytime I turned my head, I was hoping to see Frodo or Sam even if I knew that they're just actors and none of this is real. Everything was so small and cute! I was inside one of the hobbit houses and it was very well made. I wonder how much time and money they spent to make this movie...

It was a group of school kids there with three teachers and the kids eyes were so big and they listened to everything the guide said. I talked to one of the teachers and she said that they had been planning this trip for six months now and the kids had sold cookies for three months just to get money for this trip and everyone had been very engaged, because this was like a dream coming true for them. When the tour was over she said that I could go back with them in the bus so I didn't have to pay for a taxi. I told her where I was staying and she said that when we got to school, I could go with her in her car because she lived just one block away from my hotel. She was very kind so I followed her to her home instead and we drank tea together and she told me about how it is to live in New Zealand, about her family and the school were she's working. She had a man, no kids and a puppy. Her puppy was the cutest dog I've ever seen in my entire life!! After we had talked for 1 hour and a half, I walked home and took a swim in the pool. When I had showered and dressed, I walked to the pub where I met the Swedish pair yesterday and they were there again. We talked and laughed together for almost two hours before I walked home again and went to sleep. Today was a good day.

Today I watched a football game in Auckland. Oly-White VS Chelsea FC. I really enjoy watching football and I always scream when they score, clap my hands and yell at the judge when he does something wrong. New Zealand (Oly-White) won and that was I was hoping for! They won with 3-2 and when they won, their national anthem was played and everyone sang. It was so beautiful and even though I'd never heard the song before, I started to sing, haha! I sat next to a cute guy at the game and he started to laugh at me when I sang and when I saw him laugh - I started laughing to! He was very kind and bought me an ice cream and a Coca-Cola. To be honest, I don't like Cola, but he was so kind to me that I didn't want to complain. He was from New Zealand and was 19 years old. He added me on Facebook so now we can talk even when I go back to Sweden.

After the game I walked to a nearby restaurant and ate pizza. I met a Swedish couple there and we started talking and took a drink together at a pub after we had eaten. They were so kind and funny and I hope I will meet them again sometime!

Now I'm at Arlanda, waiting to see the Lufthansa plane arrive so I can board. I'm longing for the flight to take off. It's going to be boring to fly for 29(!!!) hours, but we'll stop twice and I guess I'm going to sleep most of the time so it will be OK. I can't wait to get there! When I arrive in Auckland there will be a bus waiting for me (and other people) to take us to the hotel so we can check in. After that I think I'm going to look around in the city before I eat dinner at any fancy restaurant.

Here are some pictures of my hotel in Auckland where I will be staying the first days.

It looks really cozy, don't you think?!

I have always had a dream that one day I will go to New Zealand and explore the country. When I was a child my grandparents went on a trip to New Zealand and back then I didn't know so much about the country, but when they started showing pictures of their hotel, the beaches and the people that lived there - I fell in love! It looked so cozy and everything was so beautiful! I've decided that I'm going to start my trip in Auckland and live at a hotel there for a few days and after that I'm going to the Hobbit village near Matamata on the North Island. I'm going to buy tickets for a tour right when I get to  Matamata.

Facts about New Zealand:

• About 4 393 500 people live in New Zealand

• The biggest city is Auckland, but the capital of New Zealand is Wellington

• The country have mountains covered in snow, rain forests and deserts. You can compare New Zealand with Chile, Norway and Canada together if you just look at the nature

• Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings were recorded in New Zealand

• New Zealand is run by Queen Elizabeth II

Now I'm going to the Arlanda. Wish me luck!!!
